2023 summary

Daniel's 2023 was split across Thailand and Japan. After a January Vietnam visa run he decided against more runs, booked a one-way flight to Japan, and streamed from Osaka from late March. April was spent in budget lodgings around Osaka and Kansai. In May he returned abruptly to Thailand after his Thai girlfriend learned of his channel and his plan to live with a Korean woman. He was questioned by immigration, reconciled with her, and from June settled in Bangkok at Thai language school on a six-month education visa.

Mid-January 2023 recordings: Daniel took a roughly week-long visa run to Ho Chi Minh City, returned to Thailand with a 45-day stamp extendable by 30 days, and decided against further visa runs.

February to March 2023 recordings: Daniel booked a roughly £300 flight to Japan plus short-term lodging, received a one-day Twitch suspension, marked his 34th birthday with a stream he said was likely his last from Thailand, and by month-end was streaming from Osaka with a subathon timer reaching 272 hours.

April to May 2023 recordings: Daniel moved between budget lodgings in Osaka and visited Kansai with his Thai girlfriend. He then left Japan after her ultimatum, was questioned by Bangkok immigration, got a 30-day extension and paid for a six-month Thai language course for a student visa.
