Overview

February 2023 centers on Daniel's preparations to move from Thailand to Japan: a one-way flight (about £300) for late March, a one-week Osaka apartment (about £120), guesthouse replies (about £300 or ¥50,000 per month), pocket Wi-Fi and SIM research, capsule-hotel options, budgeting and planned cycling IRL streams. Length of stay and any return to Thailand remain undecided.

Source recordings (13)

Reported allegation

Relationship strain with his Thai girlfriend runs throughout: she is sad about his departure, he hides his channel, streaming and OnlyFans from her, and boundaries over money and his laptop recur. He also reflects on his past relationships with Chihiro and Mila, Valentine's Day and intimacy difficulties.

Source recordings (12)

Content strategy and income recur: low-view gaming versus higher-view drama and commentary, demonetization, clickbait, low Hogwarts Legacy reach, platform rules (Twitch, multistreaming, Kick), subathon timers, ad changes, OnlyFans warnings and removals, stock losses, and technical setups (GoPro RTMP, Streamlabs, bots).

Source recordings (15)

Game coverage was critical: Daniel voiced skepticism before Hogwarts Legacy's release, rated it 4.2/10 as bland, streamed long playthroughs, rated Sons of the Forest 4.2/10, and called Octopath Traveler II bland and overpriced.

Source recordings (8)

Japan-related commentary included PewDiePie having a child there (a video with about 17,000 views), the Sushiro conveyor-belt tampering controversy, and Daniel's rejection of Joey's criticism of IRL streamers such as Suspenders.

Source recordings (5)

Streams also included Daniel's often undated recollections: his father's death, family boundaries, police visits tied to livestream remarks (one UK visit over horse comments judged a joke), fitness, driving and health.

Source recordings (2)

Sources dated 2023-02-21 and 2023-02-22: Daniel demonstrated a GoPro as a wireless RTMP webcam with about three seconds of delay, and recounted his girlfriend asking if he is a YouTuber, refusing a laptop inspection, and a chlamydia diagnosis; a stream titled 'I'm gay' reached 160 viewers in its first two hours.

Source recordings (3)

Late-February sources: Daniel rated Sons of the Forest 4.2 out of 10 (2023-02-27), contested The Anime Man's criticism of IRL streamers in Japan, and on 2023-02-28 bought a Japan ticket, a week of lodging and pocket Wi-Fi, disabled PewDiePie video comments, doubled ads, and ended an eight-hour-ten-minute stream before his girlfriend returned.

Source recordings (3)

Uncertainties & gaps

How long Daniel will stay in Japan, whether he returns to Thailand, and whether the relationship continues are unresolved.

Source recordings (11)

Whether his girlfriend knows of his channel or streaming is unclear.

Source recordings (8)

Whether he will be admitted on a one-way ticket, entry requirements (onward ticket, COVID documents) and long-term legal residence are unconfirmed.

Source recordings (6)

Daniel's allegations about Chihiro (physical abuse, a sold camera) are his claims, not established facts.

Source recordings (5)

Whether the chat account named Chihiro was her, and whether she reported or filed anything, is unverified.

Source recordings (9)

Rumors about Mila's pregnancy, boyfriend or addiction are unverified.

Source recordings (5)

A claim that the girlfriend's ex-partner entered the home claiming to be her husband and threatened Daniel is secondhand and unverified.

Source recordings (4)

Viewer claims of a report to Japanese police, doxxing and a police report are unconfirmed.

Source recordings (2)

Causes of demonetization and low reach are unknown, shadowban is only suspected, and whether dual-streaming without Twitch partnership breaches terms is unclear.

Source recordings (7)

Whether a previous Osaka guesthouse banned Daniel, and which Japanese data option (pocket Wi-Fi or SIM) he will use, are unresolved.

Source recordings (6)

Whether past statements could cause entry trouble in Japan is uncertain, and Daniel is unsure of the exact horse-comment wording and purpose of the police visit.

Source recordings (2)

Whether Daniel has any neurodevelopmental condition or is infertile, and the causes of Dawn's trip cancellations, are unestablished.

Source recordings (3)

Whether a Hogwarts Legacy character's voice was a man's or deep woman's, and whether villain remarks reflected transphobic intent, remain uncertain; the allegation about a character being added to deflect accusations is contested.

Source recordings (4)

Pre-release Hogwarts Legacy questions and the cause of Sons of the Forest lag were open.
