Overview
May 2023 begins with Daniel's abrupt return from Japan to Thailand after his Thai girlfriend learned of his channel and his stay with a Korean woman. After immigration questioning he got a 30-day extension, reconciled with her and weighed long-term visa options: language-school education visa, Elite Visa, or leaving temporarily.
His Tears of the Kingdom opinion shifted over the month: a 6.2 review, an apology and revised 7.2 score, then a 50-hour account describing the game as relaxing and enjoyable despite frustrations.
Source recordings (4)
Daniel described large speculative stock losses (over $15,000), linked them to chart-watching habits and a breakup, and moved leftover funds into ETFs and dividend stocks.
YouTube strategy shifted toward gaming, tech reviews and troll content and away from relationship drama, with attention to his girlfriend's privacy, audience decline and harassment, plus microphone and streaming trouble including a failed broadcast.
Daily life in Thailand covered recurring digestive trouble and hand rashes, living costs (roughly $450-500 a month near Bangkok), a language-school student visa, and comparisons with Japan and the UK.
