Hi, so it's my last day here in Manchester in my lovely apartment. Got to get packing, tidying, and sorting stuff out today is what I'm gonna do, and then I've got to go on the bus because I'm moving to Scotland. So you might be wondering, why am I moving to Scotland instead of going back home? Well, I've always been very interested in Scottish history and the culture and the language, and they've got some interesting things there. They've got some mountains, they've got a castle, and they also have a sleeper train that you can take from Edinburgh back down to London, which looks fun. And I'm kind of bored with Manchester. I feel like I've seen, I've seen everything there is to see, and it's time to move on, time to go somewhere new, somewhere fresh, somewhere that is exciting again, maybe. And as an avid fan of travelling and Scottish culture in general, I've I just had to go there given the opportunity that I have right now. One of my favorite movies is Braveheart with Mel Gibson, William Wallace, and I also want to get back in touch with nature, do a bit of hiking. I hear that Ben Nevis is a pretty nice mountain to climb, and I've never really climbed a big mountain before. It's not really climbing, it's just walking up a steep incline. I watched some YouTube videos about the mountain, people going up it, and it looks pretty easy. They're just walking up a hill basically. So hopefully Scotland is a bit more interesting than Manchester has been. Hello, welcome back to a new Cooking with Daniel. Today is my final lunch here and I thought I'd show you what I've been eating recently. Recently I've been really into these vegan chicken burger things and making salads with them. When I first heard about plant-based meats, I thought it sounded a bit disgusting, but actually they taste really good. In fact, I would even say they taste better than real meat. And my favorite product from this company has to be the spicy meat-free— meat-free chicken fillet. They also have a meat-free sausage which is also exquisite. One of the main problems I had when it came to cooking real meat was making sure the middle of the meat was cooked thoroughly and not raw. But when it comes to preparing plant-based meat-free meats, you don't really have to worry about that. Actually, you could eat the thing raw without even cooking it at all and it should be fine. So next I like to get some kale, sprinkle it with some salt, and I have some olives, cucumbers as well. I cook the kale for about 5 to 6 minutes until it's crispy and golden brown, and then I cook the chicken fillet for a bit longer. And then you can see the middle of the chicken fillet is made out of some kind of spongy pea protein material. I don't really know exactly what it is, but it's very realistic. It's actually very like— a lot like meat. So get your meat-free plant-based chicken fillet for only £2.99 at your nearest Aldi. Okay, so I finished my lunch. Now I need to get rid of a lot of stuff. I'm not going to bring things like the kettle, the spices, the The pot, the plates, the cutlery. My last night in the city. Say goodbye to Manchester. I can't believe I've been here for 6 months now. The time goes so fast. Everything's packed. My bag's so heavy. Look at this thing. Absolutely stuffed. Got some keys to drop off.
