So there's actually an option on the IRL Pro where you can save the video to the phone as it's streaming. So then it would just be in the native camera resolution, not like pixelated. So I should have done that. I wish that was turned on by default. It wasn't turned on yesterday. So from now on I wouldn't edit the stream. I'd just edit the footage that was saved on the phone and it will look good like a proper video. So that's pretty cool. It's annoying 'cause I already knew this. I just forgot. I guess. So YouTube income will be like 500 a month with only videos and taxes. Well who knows? I mean what if I make 10 K in a few months and then something happens for the rest of the year and I don't make enough money to actually meet the requirements for taxes, but I'm not just gonna blow the money. I'm gonna pay off debt and stuff. Um, yeah, so I set up an IRL server. It only costs $10 a month. So it was pretty cheap. I'm not using it now because there's no point. It's for going outside so that when I disconnect it will come up with a screen saying disconnected, be right back. And then it would carry on streaming just with a black screen until I've reconnected it. So that should be a lot better than what happened yesterday where it disconnected and then the stream ended. I the only problem is there's like a five second delay. So for example, if I use this mic with the stream server for footage, there would be a delay. But if I'm using the mic from the phone, it wouldn't matter and you wouldn't know there's a five second delay. I'll test it out later. So basically what it does is ins, instead of the footage from the app going straight to kick, it goes to a server and then from the server it goes to stream labs on the laptop. And then from the laptop it goes to kick. That's why there's a delay because it's going through multiple hoops. So what I would do is I'd go live on the laptop and then just go out. So the stream would be hosted from my laptop in the house. I think it's a pretty good idea. It's what I wanted to do in Japan. But for some reason when I was in Japan I couldn't figure out how to do it. I dunno why I couldn't figure out how to do it. It's so easy. Actually, wait, what? Wasn't I paying a hundred dollars a month for the IR server in Japan but now I'm paying like $10 for this one? I dunno. Why, how am I doing today? Um, okay. Not bad. And then it gets sent from the cloud to my stream labs, which is on my laptop. And then that gets sent to Kik and then if I disconnect for example, I'll pretend I got disc. Okay I am back. So yeah, that will, that's what would happen if it disconnected. The stream would keep going 'cause it's still streaming from the laptop but the footage from the phone has been interrupted. So it goes to that black screen looks kind of basic but it does the job and this server costs me $10 a month. So it's pretty good value. I think it's an S-M-T-S-R-T. So not, it's not RTMP. It's SRT which is supposed to be better. So yeah, I think this should fix it. Uh, just need to stream from the laptop. Also it means I can have like my widgets overlays on the laptop and that can go over the footage. This is what I really wanted to do in Thailand, you know, in Thailand or in Japan. What I really wanted to do was have the freedom to go from laptop stream like this. So I'm using the mic and I've got my, I've got my alerts and stuff like that. And then have the freedom to like get up and go out without having to end the stream because you know with YouTube you had to end the stream and make a new stream and then it was so much fiddling and then you end the stream, make a new stream, you lose half the viewers. It takes ages for 'em to all come back. And you why I couldn't figure out how to do that. And when it's not hard <laugh>, you just pay for like a server. I can't, I couldn't be bothered to figure out how to make my own server. I just pay someone. So I wanted to um, be able to just pick up the camera and like I, I could just pick up the camera and go out now and it would carry on streaming and then I'll switch my internet from the wifi to my sim cards. Does it let you put anything into the disconnect screen? Uh, yeah I think I could put a video playing on loop in the background but there wouldn't be set. I don't really know how to set it up so it like automatically plays a clip with sound. You need to enter code or something. I don't know. It's confusing. I think for now it's fine. So it's only a couple dollars per hour. More than what I would get if I was just getting the minimum rate. I mean minimum rate's still good. 16 an hour. If I do 10 hours it's $160. That's more than you make doing minimum wage. And I could stream like just stream really long to make up to like make extra just stream four hours longer. See it's only been an hour. I only made $20. Yeah. Yeah. It doesn't matter 'cause it's a bazillion times more than I was making on YouTube. And YouTube was making $20. I did a six, six hour stream on YouTube. I make like $25 from ads and the rest of it I would have to rely on Super chats and PayPals this way. I don't, I'm not like dependent on the luck of getting a super chat or not. Whereas YouTube I would need the Super chats and the PayPals to really make it worth it. Without that I made like 20, $30 from stupid ads from doing six, seven hour stream on YouTube. It is a slow charger because I had a faster charger, three kilowatt charger. But um, after that one melted I get a bit scared and I thought it'd be safer if I get a slower charger. It puts less strain on the mechanisms. If you want a seven kilowatt charger, you need the the one installed in the house, you know a proper car charger. And then if you go to a supercharger you get like 50 kilowatt speed you can fully charge in half an hour nearly. Now with my tariff, the electricity is not cheaper at night they wouldn't give me the EV tariff 'cause there's no WAN coverage here so I couldn't get smart meter. I don't think people care that much about the quality. It would be nice I guess, but I don't think it's gonna be groundbreaking.
