Hello, welcome back to a new video. In today's video, we're going to be reviewing the brand new Hades 2 on the Switch 2.

The only annoying thing is it take— when you press record audio, it takes 3 seconds to start. Look, I just start straight away. And as an avid fan of Hades and roguelike games in general, I knew I just had to play this game. Unfortunately, so far it's been kind of bland, boring, and lacking in several lustres that

you cannot really find in this Switch 2 port of the game. I was very disappointed with this port of the game onto the Switch 2. As someone who played the the PC version extensively with 60 FPS on my pro gaming laptop, which has an RTX 4050 graphics card with 16GB of RAM. I knew that it wouldn't be

as good as my pro gaming laptop to play on the Switch 2, but seeing as the Switch 2 is quite a relatively new piece of hardware, I would expect that the gaming performance would be, be more than adequate than what I have found in my discoverings.

And, and as an avid fan of Hades and roguelike games, I knew I just had to play this game. Unfortunately, so far it's been kind of bland, boring, and lacking in several lusters that you cannot really find in this Switch 2 port of the game. I was very disappointed with this port of the game onto the Switch

2. As someone who played the PC version extensively with 60 FPS on my pro gaming laptop, which has an RTX— rings, rings, coverings,

coverings.

Ah,

so if you've never played Hades 2 or roguelike game before, then basically the whole game revolves around you going to these little areas or little zones that enemies spawn in, and you basically have to fight off waves of enemies using your power-ups and special moves without dying. And then once you've defeated all the enemies in the area,

you then get to choose out of 2 gates or 3 gates where you'll get a different item or reward, and then you move on to the next zone to fight the next wave of monsters. And this would get progressively more and more difficult and challenging the more you progress into the game. And when you die, you basically

start back at the base camp. Now the base camp is just going to have a bunch— it's basically just a hub where it's basically just got a bunch of NPCs that have some dialogue, and you've got vendors and shops, and you can upgrade your gear and upgrade your playstyle and your talent trees, stuff like that. And as

you progress into the game, your character becomes more powerful and then you'll find it more easy to get through the beginning zones of the game. And then you eventually get to the boss, and then you fight the boss, and then you get some loot. And if you die, basically you're gonna die over and over and over again.

That's just in the nature of this kind of game. And that's what Hades 2 basically does. That in a nutshell doesn't really bring anything new to the table or original. It's basically just that kind of experience. Now I do like the art style and the music, and the gameplay is quite playable.

So if—

So this game can be

fun in the beginning and it does feel quite fluid, but it does get very repetitive because you're basically just doing the same thing over and over again and dying and going back to the beginning to upgrade your character. Now my main problem with the game in this game on the Switch 2 is that the camera seems very

zoomed out. I don't know how you can zoom the camera in more, but you're very zoomed out and you can barely see the character, and you are basically very zoomed out, have this bird's eye view, and the gameplay just doesn't feel very in your face or personal because of the camera angle. So if you're not a fan

of the bird's eye view camera angle then this game's probably not going to be for you. You've got other games like Hollow Knight or Dead Cells that do a similar thing, but they're more like a side view. So if you want a side view, then this game's not really going to be for you.

Now,

it, So you would expect this game to run flawlessly on the hardware of the Switch 2. Unfortunately, it doesn't run as smoothly as my pro gaming laptop experience, so I was slightly disappointed in the lusters that it was lacking. However, you were able to experience a fairly smooth gameplay experience, and the gameplay is still as fun as

I remembered it to be on the pro gaming laptop experience. But for those reasons, I was slightly disappointed in this port. Now the price point was £25, and I think this is a fair enough price point, although I would have preferred the game more if it was £15 because then I would have saved £10. I'm just very

glad and grateful that they didn't slap a £60 price tag on this game, which is what a lot of games are coming out as right now, £60 or £70, which I think is just way too expensive for a video game.
